About Poppy’s Bakes
Hi, I’m Poppy,
I’m 17 years old and a full time student at Brockenhurst College, in the New Forest, Hampshire. I’m attempting to raise £2000 for a volunteer trip to Kenya in October 2026 with the College, where I’ll be supporting local community projects. To help fund the trip, I’ve turned something I’ve loved doing for years — baking brownies — into ‘Poppy’s Bakes’.
I’ve been making brownies for local cafés and restaurants over the past few years, refining recipes and learning what makes a proper, fudgy, crowd-pleasing bake. Now I’m sharing those same brownies more widely to support this adventure.
Every box is baked fresh in small batches, cut into generous portions and carefully packed by hand.
When you order from Poppy’s Bakes, you’re not just buying brownies — you’re helping make a meaningful experience possible.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
A bit more about our Kenya trip
I will be working with the ‘Melon Mission’ based in Nakuru serving children in the nearby slums. The school helps look after over 500 children regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender and every child has access to two servings of food a day and education. When I’m in Kenya I’ll be helping with drama classes, food preparation, maintenance and digging projects, painting, renovating and whatever help may be needed during our trip.
